SHRED

FOR IPHONE

A weight loss challenge that shows its working.

Say where you are going and how fast. Shred works out the rest — and tells you exactly where every number came from.

Coming to the App Store

The Shred dashboard: today's weight at 199.8 lbs, a fuel card showing 256 calories remaining of a 2,146 target, and protein, carbohydrate and fat rings beneath it.

And on your wrist

The watch app holds no log of its own and works nothing out. Every figure on it was calculated on the iPhone and sent over, so the two can never quietly disagree about how your day is going.

The watch water page: a filled glass reading 8 of 8, with an Add a glass button beneath it.
A glass, from the wristOne tap. The phone does the counting and sends the new total back.
The watch log page: a Quick calories row that turns with the crown, above a list of usual foods showing Greek Yogurt and Berries at 340 and Chicken Stir Fry at 580.
The foods you actually eatYour usual meals, ready to log, plus a number you can dial in with the crown for everything else.
The watch progress page on day 62 of 90: 199.8 lbs, down 3.2 over the fortnight, 14.8 lbs to goal, with today's deficit and protein beneath.
Where you standDay, weight, the fortnight's direction and how far is left — without reaching for your phone.

It will not quietly change your plan

Pick a pace that would take you below a safe intake and Shred says so before you agree to it, and tells you the rate it will actually run instead. Pounds, pace and time are one equation — only two of them can be chosen freely, so the third is shown rather than asked for.

  • Works with no account

Out of the box it is a private notebook. Nothing you log leaves the phone until you decide it should.

  • Food from real labels

Typed foods are looked up in USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts first. A published label beats a guess about one.

  • Scan a meal or a barcode

You get two or three readings back with the portion each one assumes, so you choose rather than guess.

  • Apple Health, both ways

Reads your weight, steps and workouts; writes your weigh-ins back. Your budget moves with what you actually burned.

  • Progress photos stay put

Stored on the device and never uploaded. Not to your account, not to the scanner, not to us.

  • No ads, ever

No ad network, no advertising identifier, and nothing about you sold or shared. Read the policy.
